What this counter records
This sheet is a list of the things that actually exist: the requests this site makes, the one mailbox it names, the books kept behind the counter, and the things nobody at the counter is asked for. It is short because the list is short. Nothing has been borrowed from somebody else's policy, and there is no table of cookies on it, because no cookie is set by any page here.
What these six pages do
Every page here is a file served from thesweetandsip.shop: the page itself, one stylesheet, one script and one drawn icon. There is no counter, no tag, no pixel and no third-party frame embedded in any of them, and the maps and diagrams are drawn in the markup rather than fetched from a map service.
There is exactly one request to somewhere else. The head of each page names a single stylesheet of two typefaces held on Google's font servers, and your browser fetches that stylesheet and the font files it points to. Those requests go to Google and carry whatever your browser sends with any request, including an address it came from. That is the whole of this site's contact with a third party, and it is named here because it is the only thing a reader could not see for themselves.
The two tools on sheet 01 — the batch yield sheet and the allergen matrix — run entirely in the page. They divide numbers and combine ticks, and they send nothing anywhere. Nothing is written to storage in your browser, so closing the tab discards what you typed. There is no form on any of these pages that submits to a server, because there is no server here to submit to.
The one thing outside this company's control is the host that serves the files, which keeps its own record of requests in the ordinary way any web host does. No page here adds anything to that record, and this company does not keep a copy of it or build anything from it.
The order line
One address is published: orderline@thesweetandsip.shop. It reaches a mailbox read by the company and nothing else. An email sent to it is read and answered, kept while the matter it concerns is open, and kept for twelve months after that so a question asked twice gets the same answer. Then it is deleted.
What does not happen to it: it is not copied onto a list, it is not used to send anything that was not asked for, and it is not passed to anybody outside the company except where a question has to be put to a supplier, in which case the question travels and the sender's address does not.
The books at 186 Du Cane Road
The records kept at the registered office are food safety records and trade papers. The full list of logs, what each carries and how long each is held sits on sheet 04; this is what they hold about people.
| Record | About a person | Held |
|---|---|---|
| Order ticket | Item, size, any substitution and the time. No name, no telephone number, no address. | Destroyed at close with the rest of the day's paper |
| Temperature and cleaning logs | The initials of whoever took the reading or did the task, which is the point of initialling it. | Twelve months |
| Delivery record | The supplier and the driver's delivery note. Nothing about a customer. | Twelve months |
| Allergen component folder | Nothing. It describes components, not the people who ask about them. | Current version, with the superseded sheet kept behind it |
| Waste transfer notes | The registered carrier's details. | Two years, as the law requires |
| Supplier invoices and company books | Supplier contacts and the company's own filings. | As long as company and tax law requires |
What nobody is asked for
- A name, an address or a telephone number at the counter. An order is a ticket and a number called out, and neither of those needs to know who you are.
- A sign-up of any kind. There is no loyalty scheme, no account and no card to stamp, so there is nothing to hold.
- Anything about a payment. No payment detail is written into any book listed above, and none is copied anywhere on these pages.
- An allergy, in writing. The question at the pass is asked and answered out loud, against the folder. The answer is not recorded against a person, because the record that matters is the component sheet, which is already written down.
If something on these six sheets is wrong — a temperature, an hour, a registered fact — write to the order line and say which sheet and which line. Corrections are made to the sheet itself rather than appended to the bottom of it, because a sheet with a correction notice at the foot is a sheet somebody will read the wrong half of.
The company responsible for all of the above is THE SWEET & SIP LIMITED, registered in England and Wales with company number 17428571 and D-U-N-S number 235115709, at the address printed below. Post to the registered office reaches the same people as the order line, slower.
